The new birth control method is called the PREVEN Emergency Contraceptive Kit. It contains oral birth control pills and a urine test for determining pregnancy. The birth control pills must be taken in several doses. They prevent pregnancy by blocking the release of an egg, by preventing an encounter between an egg and sperm, or by blocking an already fertilized egg from implanting in the womb. </P>

If a "clear majority" of the people of Quebec voted to secede, however, the rest of the country would be obliged to negotiate terms of secession, according to the court. The vaccine, marketed as RotaShield, protects against intestinal infection from rotavirus. RotaShield is given in three doses--at two months, four months, and at six months.</P>

It will be sold under the brand name Remicade. </P>
